Inclined Ultra-Grip treads
The Safe-on stirrup from Flex-on includes all the features of the Flex-on stirrup with a safety releasing outer arm. The stirrup still supports and secures the riders foot however in the result of a fall or accident, under pressure the outer arm will release at approximately 40kg of force. This ensures you can ride using the stirrup as normal but when the situation arises you will be released from the stirrup in the event of a fall.
The wide tread base is designed to improve position of the lower leg and balance whilst maintaining comfort for those suffering from a joint issue, long term injury or if you are recovering from sustaining an injury.
The shock absorbing system underneath the treads absorb the movements and vibrations caused with riding and improve comfort to ankles, knees, and hips.
Once the safety arm has been activated you can pop the arm back on over the red screw. The stirrup will then be ready to use again without any part needing replacing. Super easy to clean with just warm water and riders can have all the benefits of the Flex-on but now have the added rider safety feature at all levels.
As from the 1st December 2019 BD Rulebook states ‘All colour stirrups are now permitted’
